A Journey of Art in Atami
Since March 2021, the PROJECT ATAMI Executive Committee has been dedicated to nurturing two foundational projects: “ATAMI ART RESIDENCE,” providing artists a space to create, and “ATAMI ART GRANT,” a robust support system for artists. The “ATAMI ART GRANT” is an initiative designed to bolster artists’ creative pursuits. Now in its third year, this annual program has invited artists to participate underthethemeof “VoyageATAMI”.Followinga rigorous evaluation process led by a panel of judges, 20 accomplished artists have been selected to participate. The resulting creations by these accredit- ed individuals will be showcased extensively through- out Atami City, made possible through collaborative efforts with government entities, corporations, and like-minded individuals who share our vision. By engaging with a diverse range of artists, the PROJECT ATAMI Executive Committee is committed to establishing channels that effectively express and convey the enchanting essence of Atami.

About PROJECT ATAMI
This project was born with the purpose of uncovering Atami’ s charm through artistic exploration, making it more visible and allowing everyone to experience and enjoy it. Our goal is to create events that encourage mutual learning and spontaneous discoveries. We also aim to provide visitors with a rich cultural experience that engages all five senses, leaving a lasting impression.
