Hot Air at Me
As a practice of communication, we will open a “Hot Air at Me” that connects the inside and outside of PROJECT ATAMI, as a lung that moves energy between Atami and Yamanashi, where 6okken is located, and as a line that connects Atami to the world. We aim to create a place where each person can “circulate” with their own heat, exchange that heat with each other, and promote metabolism. We hope that the breath that someone once exhaled somewhere in the distant past may replace one of your cells.
Located in Kawaguchiko,Yamanashi, “”6okken (rokken)”” is an “”artist-run residence”” where artists live together in six houses and actively think about the environment.
“”Artists”” there are defined as one’s attitude in coming face to face with “”something that will disappear from earth if they do not protect it.”” In addition to creating various projects under an autonomous management, residence also actively participates in outside projects in various locations, creating cross-disciplinary exchanges not limited to contemporary art.
