1.Birds Radio - Atami project
Birds Radio,this creation originated from the COVID-19 outbreak in Shanghai in April 2022, it is a sustainable public art co-creation project initiated by artist Liu Yi. He used social media to collect recordings of bird songs from the public and share them. It aims to “discover and share the beauty that exists around us” while also bring physical and mental healing and emotional resonance. More than 1000 bird songs have been collected from Shanghai and other cities in China, including around the world, and the project is continuing and growing…
2.Neighbors
《Neighbors》 is a work of art that poetically depicts the intimate connection between humans, birds, and nature. Each bird transcends being a static sculpture, becoming an emotionally rich presence with diverse forms, illustrating the diverse home that is Earth. Beings that gracefully traverse between people and the sky coexist, showcasing vibrant natural landscapes. The artist has brought the beautiful scenery of Atami into reality through daily smartphone paintings and sculptures. 《Neighbors》 not only calls for harmonious coexistence with nature but also, in collaboration with the ‘Birdsong Radio’ public art project, aims to discover and share the beauty that surrounds us.
