This piece draws inspiration from the vibrant and beautiful gardens of ACAO Forest, aiming to adorn the natural environment in a harmonious and complementary manner, adding a touch of charm to it. Just like the blooming flowers in the garden, the overall artwork uses eye-catching yet gentle color palettes, balancing various colors through gradual transitions, with the hope of bringing joy and happiness to the viewers in the tranquility.
A traveling Taiwanese artist previously lived in the United States and currently residing in Japan, born in 1980 and raised in Taiwan. During his university years, he majored in art, primarily focusing on graphic painting, influenced by contemporary Japanese animation, especially Hayao Miyazaki’s work. He pursued further studies in the United States, obtaining a Master’s degree in Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York and a Master’s degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute.
After graduating, he worked in New York for design companies and art studios, including a stint as an assistant at Takashi Murakami’s New York studio. Driven by his passion for Japanese culture, he transitioned to Tokyo in 2016. There, he held positions as an in-house artist at the Warehouse of Terrada and ACAO SPA & RESORT Co., responsible for spatial decoration design and art production.
Starting in 2020, he began focusing on his personal creative work, gradually shifting towards exploring abstract three-dimensional forms. I Chao artistic expression continually evolves as he explores new modes of creativity.
