Claire Fujita

Title:

Whispers of movement

Description:

Gently, letting things take their course. In the pursuit of what is lacking, force and restraint are born. At the end of that pursuit, we find ourselves drifting away from the natural flow, unintentionally creating new limitations. Yet, within those constraints lie subtle fluctuations and irregularities, which hold the potential for new possibilities and beauty. The randomness brought by human intervention meets the unpredictable rhythms of nature. From this intersection, new sounds and forms emerge, where time and space intertwine.

Profile:

Combining dynamic devices and organic materials, Fujita creates work that reflects on the problems and anguish she faces in the social structures and private relationships in which she lives. Her major solo exhibitions include Invisible connection (Shiseido Gallery, 2020) and the group exhibition SOUND & ART (3331 Arts Chiyoda, 2021).
