Hikari Inoue

Title:

work(in atami)

Description:

When creating a painting,
I have no interest in the inherent properties
of the materials I have selected.
Not as objects that have fulfilled their roles,
but simply as color and form,
I want them to exist solely for this purpose, as if for the first time.
I eagerly anticipate observing how my paintings, born from this land of Atami, will harmonize with the abundant nature surrounding them and the process of their maturation.

Curator: Yoshitaro Inami

Profile:

The moment when the industrial products I picked becomes just ‘objects’ and the moment my action becomes a medium that resembles a painting.
It is the back and forth between the two that I want to see.

When one moves something
When one is moved by something
When one moves something without consciously moving it
They all seem very different but in the end, the body that outputs the result is the same.

It is also an act of recognizing how they are different in different ways.
