Atami N sceneries
In Atami, one’s attention is drawn to buildings that seem to cling to the mountainsides. As the cityscape developed in pursuit of views of the sky and sea, sunlight generously floods in from the windows of these homes.
However, the natural environment here is also harsh. The effects of wind and rain, fading from sunlight, and encroaching vegetation can quickly lead to decay if not properly maintained.
I aim to interact, in my own way, with the ‘view’ from this once-inhabited building, attempting to rediscover new ways of engaging with the landscape and nature.
