What criteria do children use when choosing a branch or a stone? In the process of following the whims of their eyes, perhaps they perceive something that is neither beautiful nor intriguing. The branches and stones, each selected based on some inscrutable standard, must share a common thread. As I observe and depict them, the canvas gradually becomes more homogeneous.
Profile：
Born in Hikone, Shiga prefecture in 1992 and raised in Neyagawa, Osaka and Yokohama. Kobayashi completed his BA in graphic design at Tama Art University in 2015. A member of the Shiseido Creative Division since the same year. Awards include Tokyo TDC Award in 2016, JAGDA New Designer Award in 2019, Pentaward Silver and Japan Package Design Award (Silver).
