Mapping Atami through Pluralistic Cartographies
“Mapping Atami through Pluralistic Cartographies” is a project that collects and assembles fragments documenting the relationships between individuals, their environments, and the city of Atami. It ultimately creates a large, comprehensive map. Participants will reflect on their connection with Atami using provided map fragments, documenting their experiences as subjective maps through an urban game. The assembled map will serve as a catalyst for collectively envisioning an alternative Atami. This dynamic, urban practice offers a visual dialogue that challenges the pluralistic realities of daily life in the city where tourism and local life coexist.
