Kazumichi Komatsu
Born in Kochi Prefecture in 1992. Kazumichi Komatsu is a musician, artist, and DJ, who completed the doctoral program at the Kyoto City University of Arts Graduate School of Fine Arts. He has released a large number of sound sources under multiple names from various labels and publishers such as BUS editions, flau, psalmus diuersae, and NINA. He uses mediums such as light and song to produce and research the role and function of the body in our information age, as well as notions of memory and tradition. Major exhibitions include “FAKEBOOK” (Workstation., Tokyo, 2016), “Bee Wee” (TALION GALLERY, Tokyo, 2020), “Standing Ovation | Where Limbs Head” (former Hotel New Akao, Shizuoka, 2021) | Shiranai Tomodachi by FINCH ARTS” (CADAN Yurakucho, Tokyo, 2022), “Wakusei Zamza” (Ushigome Kagurazaka, Tokyo, 2022), amongst others.
