Yuma Kishi

Born in 1989 in Tokyo. Kantaro Tanaka graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School of Fine Arts, majoring in Intermedia Advanced Art Expression. Based on stories of various games and movies that he grew up watching in his childhood, he conducts fieldwork through labor and play. He develops images, sounds, objects, and drawings from the motifs he collects, and mainly creates installations using these objects.
He is also active as a member of the artist-run space “JUNGLE GYM” in Higashi Jujo, Tokyo, and a material shop “Catharsis no Kishibe”. His major exhibitions include “A Raft that Takes 5 Years, Trailer” (JUNGLE GYM, 2022) and “Planet Zamza” (former Odaka Bookbinding Co., 2022).
